HOME ADVANTAGE

Coventry City has to play a couple of home matches in the next 4 days and that’s a great chance for them to secure some points and move up in the League One points table. Currently, they are out of top 10 in the points table. They have played 17 matches so far out of which they have managed to secure just 21 points. Their exact position in the points table is no. 12. If they have to push themselves in contention for a playoff spot, they need to win some games.

However, the Coventry boss Steven Pressley has said that he is taking one game at a time and right now, he is focussed only on the game against Tranmere Rovers which is going to take place tomorrow.

Tranmere Rovers has struggled quite a lot this season and they are very close to being in the relegation zone. But, Pressley is not taking them lightly as he is aware of the fact that there is some quality in their squad.

Talking to the reporters in the pre match press conference, Pressley said, “They had a great time in the first half of the last season. They went down a bit towards the end of the season and then, in this season, they haven’t got off to a good start. But, they are not short of potential. They have been unbeaten since a while. They have done well against quality sides like MK Dons. So, we will have to be a bit cautious against them.”

“There is no point thinking about the match against Rotherham at the moment. We have to play a match tomorrow and we need to have all our focus on that match.”

Coventry’s game against Rotherham will take place on Tuesday.
